OUR MISSION

Girasol Montessori School is a bilingual English / Spanish program for children 33 months through 6 years of age. It is our mission to offer children and families an authentic Montessori experience, that allows children to stay on their natural path of development, while being active and contributing members of our community. 

Girasol Montessori School’s properly trained and experienced guide guarantee a strong foundation for your child, enabled in a safe and nurturing, physically, psychologically emotionally prepared environment that meets each child’s capacities and intellectual needs. A mix aged community of children provides ideal opportunities for your child to establish meaningful, long-lasting peer relationships in a community that encourages and promotes kindness, joy and respect for oneself, others and the environment.

OUR GOAL

It is our goal to help each child become an independent being and reach their maximum potential in all areas of life. Our intentionally and strategically prepared environment promotes functional independence, development of social skills, emotional growth, physical equilibrium and coordination.

The prepared and trained adult will be the connection between the children and the materials, allowing the child to experience the joy of learning by using their hands and exploring through their senses, leading to concentration and mastery. All of those are achieved by providing the children with the freedom of movement, choice, repetition and language.
